Cause
There is current from the output phase-to-ground, either in the cable between the frequency converter and the motor, or in the motor itself. The current transducers detect the ground fault by measuring current going out from the frequency converter and current going into the frequency converter from the motor. Ground fault is issued if the deviation of the 2 currents is too large. The current going out of the frequency converter must be the same as the current going into the frequency converter. verified

• Remove power to the frequency converter and repair the ground fault. • Check for ground faults in the motor by measuring the resistance to ground of the motor cables and the motor with a megohmmeter. • Reset any potential individual offset in the 3 current transducers in the frequency converter.
