HAWAII Types of Projects: All public construction projects which exceed $25,000, require a bond equal to 100 percent of the contract price of construction. §103D-324 Labor and Material Covered: All labor and materials furnished to the contractor and used in the prosecution of the work provided for in such contract. §103D-324 Notice Required: Written notice shall be served by registered or certified mail to contractor and surety within 90 days from the date on which the person did or performed the last labor or furnished or supplied the last of the material for which claim is made, stating with substantial accuracy the amount claimed and the name of the party to whom the material was furnished or supplied or for whom the labor was done or performed.
