What the source says
permit issued for work on premises, including any buildings or other structures, that have been deemed to be unsafe or unfit for human occupancy (in accordance with Section 115), or abandoned or deteriorated property [in accordance with D.C. Official Code § 42-3171.01 et seq.(2012 Repl.)], shall become invalid if the authorized work is not begun within 30 days after the permit is issued and completed within six months after the date work is begun, unless the permit is extended in accordance with Section 105.5.1.
