All 127 questions as a flashcard deck (CSV) — imports into Anki as question and answer, each card carrying the quote and a link to the page that states it. Tag per topic; 127 cards.
Are these exam questions?
No, and deliberately not. The Texas journeyman and master electrician examinations are open-book National Electrical Code examinations: PSI's candidate information bulletin sets out the content outline for every Texas electrician examination and every subject area of every one of them is NEC. Nothing here reproduces NEC text or rehearses NEC content. What these questions cover is the licensing path around the exam — hours, supervision, forms, fees, the exam's own arrangements, renewal, continuing education and reciprocity — which is where applications actually fail.
Where does each answer come from?
The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation's own pages, plus the candidate information bulletin its examination vendor publishes and TDLR links from its exam page. The answer on every card is a word-for-word extract of the quote shown with it, and the card links both the quote's page and our record for it, so you can check any answer in two clicks rather than take it on trust.
How current is this?
Every card carries the date the page was last read, and the set is re-checked on the date shown above. One change is already booked: the examination moves from the 2023 NEC to the 2026 NEC on 1 September 2026, per PSI's bulletin. TDLR's own exam page still names the 2023 edition, and both statements are recorded here as separate cards from the pages that make them.
Why there are no multiple-choice options
A wrong option would have to be written by us or borrowed from another record — and a borrowed one is a real quoted fact being presented as the wrong answer, which for a different licence type it may not be. So each card is think, reveal, mark yourself. Everything on the back of it is something a Texas agency published.
