About this data

State-by-state reporting timeframes for notifiable diseases and conditions. Each record is one state’s reporting requirement for one disease, with the mandated timeframe (immediately, 4 hours, 24 hours, 3 working days, 7 days, etc.), the reporting method (telephone, fax, electronic), and the receiving agency. Answers 'how quickly must I report [disease] in [state]', 'which diseases require immediate telephone reporting in [state]', 'what is the reporting timeframe for measles in Georgia vs Kansas'. The matrix is roughly 50 states × 80+ conditions, and no cross-state comparison exists despite every state publishing its own list individually.
